v0.1 Announcement

The first public release of the Operating Specification Standard.

Version 0.1 marks the point where the standard becomes something an outside builder can actually download, inspect, validate, and begin implementing instead of just discussing conceptually.

This release introduces the core specification draft, starter package, reference package, and public governance surfaces needed to begin external publication and committee formation.

What Ships In v0.1

A real builder package, not just a positioning page.

The goal of the first release is practical clarity. A builder should be able to understand the format, see the package anatomy, download working examples, and recognize how the runtime is expected to treat the resulting Operating Path.

  • The builder draft specification is publicly downloadable in Word format.
  • The starter kit package shows the minimum artifact structure expected from an implementation.
  • A second reference package proves the format can move beyond the original use case.
  • The standards hub, changelog, and committee charter now provide a visible public release surface.
Immediate Focus

The next stage is interoperability, not marketing volume.

The program now needs implementation feedback, validator discipline, and early committee participation so the standard matures around real usage rather than private interpretation.

Collect outside implementations

Prioritize builders who can package, validate, and adapt the format in real operating environments.

Stabilize conformance language

Turn builder expectations into clearer implementation classes, validator outputs, and compatibility notes.

Expand the committee

Bring in design partners, runtime builders, and enterprise operators who can help shape the public standard.

Participate

Move from reading the release into proving the format.

Use the conformance program to understand what an implementation should satisfy, then submit your package, validator output, or runtime notes for review.
