Committee and Governance Model
The lightweight operating model for evolving the standard in public: steering group, technical working group, governance and assurance review, and ecosystem advisory input.
Audience: Founders, design partners, ecosystem members, and future standards participants.
Status: Initial stewardship model defined in the builder draft.
Suggested working model
The standard should not remain a single-company format forever. The committee model defines a path toward neutral stewardship without waiting for a heavyweight standards body before publishing anything useful.
- Steering group for charter, releases, and scope
- Technical working group for schema and examples
- Governance and assurance review for policy and audit semantics
- Ecosystem advisory group for implementer feedback
Release philosophy
Normative changes should be versioned, publicly reviewed, and accompanied by reference examples and compatibility guidance. The standard should mature through multiple implementers, not through private interpretation alone.
Use the public standard to shape governed runtime behavior.
The point of the standard is not documentation for its own sake. It is to make packages authorable, reviewable, validatable, and portable enough to drive governed execution.
